The Lemon Orchard

After working with the story "The lemon Orchard", written by the author Alex La Guma, we made a presentation.

What if i was a writer?

After learning different facts of how to write a diary entry, we were asked to prepare two diary entries, in which we had to write from the point of view of a survivor of a nuclear explosion.

August 8, 2026

Dear diary,

It´s been five days since a nuclear bomb arrived at our town and killed everyone that i have ever met.

Life is getting hard without anyone to talk to, i can only talk to small clever mice that gladly help me to clean the house.

I can´t stand the dark feelings that are living inside my cold heart, anger, sadness, loneliness are consuming me. I really miss my family!

Anyway, today has been an exhausting day, i´m going to bed to cry until tomorrow.

I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Dear diary, 

Today was just like any other day in this prision world.

I couldn´t sleep in the entire night, i was praying to god for help, although i didn´t receive any answer.

It was 7 o´clock in the morning, i went to the garden and i asked one of the robots that were still alive to tell me a story.

At 4:35 pm i went to play with dolls, this is a good way to forget that you are alone, in my case i imagine that the dolls are my family, and so i can talk with them.

It´s really late, and i am really tired, so i am going to bed.
